Michael Mueller Cypher have crafted a sinuous, lithe take on a largely heavier style of post-rock. It's got grunt, but the songs move at a fair old clip, the tempos more traditional than tricky, but with enough instrumental flourishes to the satisfy even the keenest of ears.

The bass sound is particularly highlight; taut, resonant and commanding. But each piece of the band locks in hard with the others; this is a tight unit with decades of experience to summon.

An album for the brain as well as the feet. Favorite track: Grey Wall Barrier.
